connect your apple watch to niko.
niko reads your heart rate every 30 minutes through the apple shortcuts app. one-time setup, then it runs in the background.

    open the shortcuts app on iphone

    tap + to create a new shortcut

    add the heart rate action
    tap "add action"
    search for "find health samples"
    tap it to add
    tap "health samples" → change to "heart rate"
    tap "all" → change to "newest"

    add the send action
    tap "add action" again
    search for "get contents of url"
    tap it to add
    paste this url into the url field:

    change method to POST
    tap "headers" → tap + → add one header:

    Bearer <your patient token — sign in to see yours>
    tap "request body" → choose JSON → add two fields:
    key: bpm → value: tap the magic variable → Heart Rate
    key: timestamp → value: Current Date

    set it to run automatically
    tap the back arrow to name your shortcut
    then open the automation tab (bottom of screen)
    tap + → new automation
    choose "time of day"
    set start time and repeat every 30 minutes
    add action → run shortcut → choose this shortcut
    when prompted, tap "always allow" so it runs without asking
